At Sciensus, putting patients first is our guiding principle, and we are thrilled to announce that we have received top marks following a recent inspection of our nursing services in Scotland. The Care Inspectorate, the official body responsible for monitoring and improving care standards in Scotland, praised our work, highlighting our ‘sector leading strengths’ and commending our excellence in supporting patients’ wellbeing.

Our leadership and staffing were also recognised as “very good,” with the inspection emphasising the significant strengths in how our clinicians are guided and supported. These strengths contribute directly to delivering positive outcomes for patients – a result we are immensely proud of.

Continuous improvement in care standards

Importantly, we’ve made substantial progress in areas identified for improvement during the previous inspection. The inspector confirmed that both recommendations have been fully met:

  • Patients are now regularly offered opportunities to share feedback on the quality of the care they receive.
  • Communication has been enhanced, benefiting both our clinicians and the individuals under our care.

Celebrating excellence in patient care

Senior Clinical Services Manager, Ursula Corbett, said: “It was a great outcome for our inspection, and we should be very proud. The inspector was very complimentary and said we demonstrated a level of excellence that deserved top marks.

“She also admitted she hadn’t understood our service until the inspection and now fully appreciated the amazing care we provide.”
